The dietary history form will be sent to you after your consultation has been scheduled. This must be filled out and returned promptly. The information on this form will help make the most of the clinical nutrition appointment.
Any missing required documents could lead to delays in the formulation of your pet’s clinical meal plan.
AppointmentAll appointments are conducted remotely. You will be sent an invitation to the appointment for your selected time by e-mail. Appointments are normally conducted via online video chat meeting but please inform if you would prefer a telephone consultation.
For clients residing outside the United KingdomPlease inform that this is the case when you are making your appointment. Clients living outside the United Kingdom must sign an agreement to confirm the understanding that the service provided is based in the United Kingdom.
PaymentAll payments are to be made by bank transfer. Bank details are provided on your invoice. Payments overdue by more than 14 days will incur a late fee. If you have arranged for your pet insurance provider to pay, you remain responsible for ensuring the full payment is received on time. Any delays or shortfalls in reimbursement from your insurer do not affect the payment terms.
For clients in the United KingdomAn invoice for the consultation and meal plan package will be sent after the consultation. Payment is due immediately after the appointment. Delays in payment can result in delays in the formulation of your pet’s clinical meal plan.
For clients residing outside the United KingdomConsultations fees must be pre-paid at least 24 hours before your appointment. If a meal plan package is selected during the appointment, payment is due on the day of the appointment by bank transfer. It is possible to pay invoices directly using euros- please inform if this is the case so that the correct arrangements can be made.
Insurance claimsMany pet insurance companies cover nutrition consults when medically indicated. Please check with your provider that this is the case. Completion of insurance paperwork is included as part of the appointment.
Any delays in reimbursement from your insurer do not affect the payment terms and you remain responsible for ensuring the full payment is received. If there is an outstanding amount left after the insurance company have paid, it is your responsibility to make the final payment.
Meal plansThe clinical meal plan will be sent to you within 1 week of the appointment. Sometimes this can take longer if more information is needed but you will be informed if this is the case. If a meal plan is needed urgently, this can be discussed during the consultation. It is often possible to have a temporary meal plan sent out on the same day until the final plan is ready.
The final meal plan will be sent to your primary care or referring veterinarian for information.
Generally, 2-4 weeks of follow-up are included with the clinical meal plan via e-mail and/or phone communication. The length of included follow-up will vary depending on the specific condition of the patient and complexity of the diet. A re-check clinical nutrition consultation may be required if there is a significant change in the clinical condition or diet.
