For existing patients of the service following a diet that was previously prescribed. A re-formulation of the diet is typically included in the consultation fee. Please note that if the clinical condition of the patient changes significantly, a charge for the clinical meal plan update may be applied. In the case of a new diagnosis, a new clinical meal plan may be required.

During the clinical nutrition consultation, the type of diet which fits best with your pet’s medical and dietary history will be discussed. You will be given a quote for the meal plan during your consultation.

What is included: Detailed meal plan and follow-up*

* Follow-up is via e-mail and/or phone communication. Generally, 2-4 weeks of follow-up are included with the clinical meal plan. This will vary depending on the specific condition of the patient and complexity of the diet. A re-check clinical nutrition consultation may be required if there is a significant change in the clinical condition or diet.

For adult healthy pets. Please have your primary care veterinarian forward latest check-up notes (must be within the past year) to confirm health status. No consultation is required but you must fill out a homemade diet request form.

Included: Detailed complete and balanced recipe and optional treat menu

For healthy dogs or cats not yet having reached adulthood. Please have your primary care veterinarian forward latest check-up notes to confirm health status. Package includes a 1-hour consultation to learn how to choose a diet for your growing puppy, how much to feed, and how to monitor for healthy growth. If a commercial diet is selected during the consultation, a meal plan will be sent to you after the appointment which will be suitable for the following 4 weeks of growth.

What is included: 1-hour discussion and commercial meal plan

Add-on for healthy pets having used the puppy or kitten package. This includes a nutritional review and updated commercial meal plan to suit growing needs. A follow-up is recommended every month until adulthood is reached.
